A promotional/aspirational video of the near future made by Corning,A Day Made of Glass shows us how awesome Corning can be. In all seriousness,despite the heave promotion of the different types of glass they make (and some slightly impractical uses),it’s fantastic to see what may be possible one day. On a side note,I really don’t understand the fascination with having your bathroom mirror be a video screen that you touch,drag and interact with. Hands are oily,and you really don’t have that much space to work with in a typical bathroom mirror. This is pretty amazing stuff. Stjepan Hauser and Luka Sulic duel it out with their cellos in this ridiculously cool and hardcare cover of Michael Jackson’s “Smooth Criminal”. Absolutely love it! This is just absolutely stunning. Without trying to be hyper-realistic,the video is gorgeous. Created by Charlex and paired with the poem Dreams by Fitzgerald Scott is beautiful and so befitting. Watch it. Then watch it again. While the table is only a one-off design/art piece,it’s still really cool. Filtering through the design-speak filled description,the essence of the product is to visually represent the Asian belief of how small changes can magnify and have huge impacts on your and other people’s lives. Very cool. While today’s video has little to do with gadgets,movies,music,technology,or any of the usual stuff,it’s quite interesting and engaging. More than that,the animation on the whiteboard done is simply amazing and totally helps build,explain and enhance the message that the speaker is trying to convey in a very fun and visually delicious way. If you have a couple minutes,I highly encourage you to spend it watching this video,without distractions. This. Is. Ridiculous. The 135i was already crazy enough with something along the lines of 300 bhp,and now the much-rumored 1 series Coupe M (they couldn’t call it the M1…that’s iconic!) has leaked on to the web,and it looks nuts! This is just too cool to explain. Someone took the entire dream sequence from Inception,and converted it into a about 5 minute clip,where you can see all the dreams synced up to “real-time”based on the first dream (the van being chased). It’s really awesome to see how time speeds up,but honestly,I can’t seem to tell the difference between the third level and the deep twilight-zone level. This is just freaking sweet! Using mirrors,the people at the Solar Furnace Research Facility in France have managed to create a single point of extremley focused sunlight,pushing temperatures up to 3200C. Check Jem Stansfield from the BBC’s Bang Goes The Theory ignite wood and melt steel! It’s just been announced that Qatar will be hosting the 2022 World Cup,which is fantastic news in the every expanding variety of venues for the World Cup. Check out the video above showcasing the 5 gorgeous stadiums that will be built for the World Cup,each different from the other. I think the Al-Shamal,Al-Wakrah Sports Complex,and the Al-Rayyan Stadium are by far my favourite of the five. Using a mixture of solar cells to power the stadiums,water taxis to efficiently transport people to and fro,and a newly developed cooling technology to reduce stadium temperatures by up to 20C,will make the 2022 World Cup a very exciting prospect! | |||||
