I’ll be the first to admit that there are times when I wish I had a better insult or comeback. Be it in jest with a friend (which is usually the case), or if you are really trying to be mean, Insults and Comebacks for All Occasions will provide you with everything you need and some killer comebacks. Some of my favorites are:

You have a striking face. Tell me, how many times were you struck there?

Ah, I understand – You fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on your way down.

Available from Amazon for just $7.95. (Found on Outblush)

I started reading Archies since I was a kid, maybe 7 or 8? At one point I think I had amassed close to 250 Archie comics, from the Archie and Friends, Archie Single and Double Digests, Jughead Single and Double Digest, Betty & Veronica, all of it. Like the Simpsons, they never aged (at least until when I wanned off and stopped reading them at the start of High School. So it’s with a great shock that I discovered that the story has moved on, and that Archie is getting married?! I really want to know who he picks. Can’t wait until September (although I have to say, I am not the biggest fan of the new drawing style). (Found on Wired:GeekDad)

Dan Brown’s long-awaited sequel to The Da Vinci Code has finally been announced. Originally rumored to be titled The Solomon Keys, the new book is going to be called The Lost Symbol. Amazon has the release date set as September 15th, and is offering pre-orders right now for $15.63 for the hard cover. Brown’s longtime editor, Jason Kaufman, Vice President and Executive Editor at Doubleday said,

Nothing ever is as it first appears in a Dan Brown novel. This book’s narrative takes place in a twelve-hour period, and from the first page, Dan’s readers will feel the thrill of discovery as they follow Robert Langdon through a masterful and unexpected new landscape. THE LOST SYMBOL is full of surprises.
