Oh Wait…That’s a Disappearing Pool?

This is sort of ridiculous. The first thing I think of is how slippery that floor will be every time you raise it. The second is how much it reminds me of the set of Cirque du Soleil’s show “O”in Las Vegas with their constantly morphing stage floor as it switches from a large pool to a large floor and every combination in between. The thing is this. For someone who can afford a pool like this, surely their house is large enough for another room that is large enough to use for social gatherings anyway, right? I mean, what other purpose is there to this design. Sure,it’s cool I can adjust the depth of the pool to whatever I want, but why?! (Found by Prerna on Gizmodo)

This actually sounds pretty useful –any outdoor area would traditionally just be wasted space. Even if you are wealthy,a decent sized pool will definitely take up a large area. Also,I’d love a simple wading pool as compared to a full pool.
