Reviews are streaming in for the HTC Hero. Announced a month or so ago,the HTC Hero is HTC’s new Android-based non-Google phone (aka it uses Android,but is not Google-branded and uses HTC’s own custom Sense UI). From the announcement,I was excited about the high build quality that was shown,and some of the integrated features and applications that HTC was including into the phone. Excited enough to think that it could be my next phone and replace my aging Sony Ericsson K850i. Now that review units have gone out to blogs,the full reviews are coming in. And while there is some negative,for the most part people are putting it above the Pre and on par with the iPhone in some respects. Check out reviews from Gizmodo (thanks for the picture) and MobileCrunch. I am still excited about this phone (admitedly a bit less than before),but enough to go check out the device when/if it comes out Stateside.
