Apple’s oft rumored Tablet got a jolt of adrenaline earlier today with the Financial Times confirming that Apple will be launching their tablet in September (September in the past has been the launch month for new iPods and sometimes new laptops). FT believes the device will have a 10-inch display, run the iPhone OS, and have WiFi. Furthermore, they believe Apple is working hard to establish book deals to add a book marketplace to iTunes (dun dun duunnn Amazon/Kindle). (Found on Gizmodo)
Another news item, possibly related to Apple Tablet is a report coming from Toshiba that they are ramping up production of flash memory (of which Apple is a LARGE buyer from Toshiba) to 90% of factory production. Hence, the obvious rumor is that Apple has placed a large order of flash memory, possibly for new iPods (new Touch and Nanos are already pretty well established rumors for September) or for the above tablet.
