Gizmodo has put up an interesting article comparing the feel of the new HTC Hero (with it’s Teflon coated back to prevent grease and fingerprints) to the iPhone 3G (or 3GS… like it makes a difference from the outside), and how the HTC makes the iPhone feel like junk. They basically lament that Apple has stopped innovating with new materials, and a company that has been at the forefront of industrial design, and used to pioneer in using new materials for its products in the 90s, has settled in with its’ usage of plastic and aluminium. Sure they are good materials, but I agree with the article. It’s interesting that just a couple days ago I was discussing how Apple’s hardware is superior in quality to Palm (this was in reference to an iPhone vs. Pre discussion I was having). While that is true, at the same time, that doesn’t mean they are the best. Apple customers have been moaning Apple’s fingerprint-magnetic materials for years (starting from the black iPod Nano to the current iPhone). Sure you can get this cover or that skin to protect your product, but honestly, you shouldn’t need to. Good design is being usable. Great design is being usable and being able to last I think. Apple’s products get easily scratched, smudged, and tarnish it’s good looks. Apple is aware of this and have done nothing really in terms of innovating a solution. But HTC has. And it looks good. Does anyone know which type of video information are supported? I keep in mind the Instinct only could dl 3gp using opera mini. I downloaded the twist ap, possibly that’s the issue? How can I watch movies from websites apart from youtube? Which file types? Often I am given the option of 3gp or mpeg4. Cannot get both to work. Thanks in your time! i’ve had my pure for a week now and i nonetheless dont know what to do… like changing the message alert tone to no matter i want it not just the fundamental ones on the phone… all the pieces about this phone is complicating.. i also wanted to change to that android software program because windows is just too slow and someone please help me how to do this
