Ok,so Microsoft blows away E3 and most of the tech/gaming world with their Project Natal on the Day 1 of E3. Day 2,both Nintendo and Sony have press conferences scheduled (in that order),where everyone is eagirly waiting to see how they will respond. What amazing technology will Nintendo, who made motion controllers the big thing with their Wii,and Sony, who have the technological powerhouse in the PS3 to compete against the Xbox, come out with. We waitied to have our minds blown even more. (Thanks Engadget)
At least mine didn’t.

Nintendo announced the Wii Vitality. A device that replaces the nunchuck that connects to your finger to monitor your stress levels, pulse, etc. Are you kidding me? What the hell is this going to do for my gaming experience. As Gizmodo put it,this solidifies the conversion of Wii into a nursing home assistant. (Thanks Gizmodo)

So everyone looks towards Sony. And they do in fact announce a new motion controller. And it works great, its really responsive. But honestly,I am not playing a game holding that stick and ball thing. That looks like a prototype or a lab unit. It lacks the elegence of the Wii controller,or simplicity of Project Natal. Yes,it uses a simpler method to capture motion controller, dpending on exisitng motion capture technology used in movies (you’ve seen people dressed up in those suits covered in balls before). Worse, this isn’t suppossed to be released until Spring 2010,while Natal is expected to come out end of this year.
Yeah…I’m glad I have an Xbox right now…
