Wireless phone carriers around the world (I’m looking at you Three,Orange,T-Mobile and AT&T),look at what Vodafone is doing. This is brilliant. They have just announced that they will be soon rolloing out a free service called Passport,that essentially eliminates any roaming charges that the user may have incurred while traveling outside their home county but still on the Vodafone network. This is brilliant. I see no reason why everyone else can’t get on the boat with this. If you are on the same network,be it a different arm of the company or not,it should all be the same. Vodafone users in the UK will get a three month trial for this,where any minutes and text messages will be deducted from their standard rate plan. (Found on Gizmodo)
