I’m a big fan of keeping a USB drive with me at all times. The one I am using right now is 8GB,which is great cause it’s large enough for me to transfer pictures and videos. But even cooler is that it allows me to keep local copies a couple applications that I can have handy with me regardless of what computer I am using. That way,I don’t have to be worried if the browser on the computer in a shady internet cafe may have a bug installed it,or if I am trying to watch a video but the computer doesn’t have VLC. My favorite site to get these applications is PortableApps. It is a suite of applications that cover most if not all major (and not so major) functionality that you could need. Some programs I like having handy are Notepad++,VLC,Firefox,and FileZilla.
